After years long hiatus from action genre Akshay Kumar is back again with some raw action with Rowdy Rathore. The movie opened with an occupancy of 60 percent in multiplexes. Directed by dance maestro Prabhu Deva Rowdy Rathore is the remake of Telugu smash hit Vikramarkudu filled with loads of action, entertainment for the cine buffs.

Rowdy Rathore is the story about Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small town petty thief who fetches thrill out of duping people in Mumbai.

Amid a volley of hilarious sequences Shiva falls head-over-heels in love with Priya (played by Sonakshi Sinha). With Shiva expecting all the goodies ahead, six-year-old Neha enters his life, who inexplicably believes that Shiva is her father.

As the story proceeds with Neha, Shiva comes across a series of life threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something Shiva seems to be unaware of. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva has a rendezvous with an unexpected secret.

A secret that takes this urban conman to a small town Devgarh in Bihar; a town terrorized by a ruthless and self proclaimed messiahs.

Story
The movie has quite an old script with Vivid colors, rustic background and conventional dance routines. In the first half of the movie loaded with tonnes of humor cine buffs don't afford to stop giggling even for a fraction of second.

With Akshay's stupendous dexterity in humor the movie takes off magnificently and maintains the momentum successfully through out the course.

Post the interval the story gets in to action mode again blended with some rib tickling moments, which again keep movie bonkers gaze fixed to the screen.

Despite being old the script successfully manages to charm the fans. With sequences so beautifully knitted story nowhere makes audience yawn.

Screenplay
With no flaws in the the story, screenplay further decorates the charm of this awesome cine flick. Through out the course of the movie nothing seems to be going out of proportion be it screenplay, the sequential shifts or the story linkups.

Screenplay well complemented by camerawork and background score magnified the appeal of the movie drastically. As far as techno factor is concerned, it well supplemented the humor quotient of the movie, with some very elementary techniques.

Acting
The movie bestows Akshay with good scope to flaunt his expertise in different shade, one as a Vikram Rathore, the cop and another as a petty thief Shiva. In both the characters Akshay succeeded in impressing the fans.

In Shiva's shoes with his humor dexterity, Akshay left masses with their hands on their stomach, whereas as Vikram Rathod he successfully revitalised his Khiladi image.

Carrying forward her desi girl legacy and despite not having much to do, Sonakshi also succeeded in making her presence feel. Sonakshi with charming and lovable style well exhibits her skills as a small town girl in the movie.

The child artist portraying the part of Akshay's daughter appeared really cute.

Doing an absolute justice to his antagonist image Nassar has been superb. Paresh Ganatra, as Akshay's con partner copes well with Khiladi Kumar's humor quotient.

Music
In spite of lack of variety in music section, duo Sajid-Wajid again succeded in delivering a charming album with tracks like "Chinta Ta Ta". Guest appearance of leading cine sorcerers like Vijay and Kareena Kapoor and Prabhu Dheva further glorified the appeal of the song. In the background score department hats off to Sandeep Chowta for his electrifying creativity.

Choreography
If it would have been some other movie then may the expectations from choreography department would have been less, but because the maestro of those superb dance moves, Prabhu Deva himself was directing the movie, then its obvious for fans to have inflated expectations.

And believe me just like other components of the movie even in this front Prabhu has not done any compromise and the choreography of the movie too deserves special accolades.

With just the perfect blend of humor, action, emotion and drama Rowdy Rathore is a stupendous cine saga which is meant pull the masses. All in all despite having just an average script, Rowdy Rathore is superlative performance with heaps of entertainment for the fans.
